The Sr. Manager, Quality & BPI will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to the Quality and BPI Team, working to improve core and secondary processes, and manage operational and tactical improvement projects/efforts. They will work to build a Quality culture that is focused on the Customer and Customer experience. The Sr. Manager will also provide leadership in driving continuous improvement activities that utilize rigorous application of Lean and Six Sigma methods/tools, Quality Management System standardization (including registration to ISO 9001), systemic problem solving, Root Causes Analysis, and internal audits. As an influential position within Omron, they will help determine the Quality Objectives, policies, and procedures for the entire OEI organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the Quality Management System for compliance with customer, ISO 9001, local, state, and federal requirements and assure that it is continually reviewed and improved.
  • Lead Management Review Team in monitoring strategic quality metrics from field, work-in process, and supply chain
  • Manage the internal audit system and assure timely completion of audits, and submit findings and corrective action requests to management.
  • Evaluate current data and trends in order to suggest improvement ideas or corrective action activities to be worked on with a cross functional team.
  • Manage customer complaints, failure analysis and reporting
  • Participate in the evaluation of performance against Quality objectives
  • Assist in developing corporate quality objectives, including short- and long-term perspectives
  • Lead the OEI quality system and manage the ISO 9001 certification requirements
  • Develops and maintains procedures related to the corporate compliance program
  • Ensure effective and frequent communications with organizational elements, keeping quality on the forefront of processes and product development, and ensuring personnel understand the objectives of the QMS
  • Draft quality policies and procedures, and oversee internal processes and procedures to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the QMS and attainment of goals and objectives
  • Assist with the Design, develop and implementation of Quality training programs
  • Lead cross functional improvement teams through the A3 or DMAIC processes and report on outcomes
  • Assist with managing the company-wide improvement program inclusive to all staff
  • Change management advocate with ability to effectively communicate in their role as facilitator, trainer, and coach throughout each level of the organization
  • Actively employ project management skills related to overall project tracking, deliverables management, action item tracking, meeting minutes, team communications, and presentations. Keep stakeholders informed of project status and defined deliverables
  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of Quality and BPI staff members

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a Business related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands on experience in delivering cross-functional business process improvement projects utilizing Lean Six Sigma methods.
  • Minimum 3 years of management experience
  • ASQ Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.
  • Proven experience communicating with Executive staff on business-critical matters.
  • Understanding of data analysis, tools and applications -- Minitab software experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Windows platform applications.
  • Approximately 30% travel
