Under the Direction of the CAO, and reporting to an Admin Supervisor II, with a high degree of independence, the Analyst III will be assigned to large complex grant proposals from pre to post award, high level fiscal management. The main assignment will include supporting the Western Center for Agricultural Health and Safety, a five-year award for $10M, a multi-disciplinary center, one of 11 agricultural health and safety centers in the U.S. established by the CDC and NIOSH. This position will assist in the renewal of the large center grant, which has had a 30-year history. Working closely with the Admin Supervisor II, the assigned unit program manager, this position will provide analysis, information and budget projections and recommended options, including staffing, outreach, equipment, travel, and other administrative expenses. This position will support the renewal proposal submission via Cayuse SP/424 and eRA Commons, as well as other large proposals as assigned.
Job Summary
The UC Davis Institute of the Environment oversees a portfolio of approximately $34M in revenue sources, multiple centers, and programs, and approximately 155 employees. Under the direction of the IE Business Manager, this position will be responsible for providing research administration support to the UC Davis Institute of the Environment and its centers, programs, and large initiatives.
Independently provide high-level proposal support for all the Institute's faculty and researchers, serving as the primary contact between the PIs and the Sponsored Programs Proposal team. Manage comprehensive complex proposal development and submission in support of the Institute's research portfolio of approximately $27M in proposals annually. Independently serve as liaison between Sponsored Programs, sponsoring agencies, collaborating academic departments and institutions, administrators, and academic researchers within the Institute at all levels to ensure the proper administration of federal, state, and private funded contracts and grants. Ensure compliance with sponsor and University Policy & Procedures for all intramural and extramural funding on behalf of the Institute.
