Job Description
Role: Engineering Laboratory Technician
Work Location: Folsom, CA
7+ Months Contract position

Description:
100% onsite
High school diploma / GED is required

Conducts or participates in testing and utilization of new validation hardware and/or electrical components, mechanisms, materials, and/or circuitry, Prepares Hardware test set ups as instructed following specifications and direction from Team Lead. Successful candidate analyzes test reports and ensures products conform to standards. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur.

Works as a bridge between planning, manufacturing and validation design engineering teams. Engineering technicians use validation teams and manufacturing inputs to test and implement complex hardware components into the eco-system. Responsibilities include working with senior engineers to define functionality requirements, writing manufacturing test plans, documenting and implementing the solutions.

Receives Hardware shipments logs into systems for tracking. Hips and/or distributes hardware for testing prior to shipping

Job responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
  • Enable HW components within validation systems
  • Execute SW and HW validation tests to ensure functionality and quality
  • Understanding and working knowledge of board schematics and design
  • Debug and troubleshooting hardware issues hands on
  • Ability to interpret detailed technical documentations including Platform User Guide and Test procedures
  • Able to lead small projects and directing suppliers remotely to perform test
  • Possess a proactive mindset, able to handle ambiguity and diverse tasks and respond to a rapidly changing environment
  • Able to follow direction from leadership to execute projects as needed
  • Shipping / receiving Hardware

Qualifications:
  • Technical degree or electronics / electrical engineering
  • Working knowledge of test equipment and validation hardware
  • Practical electronic engineer is a plus.
  • Ability to work extra hours as needed
  • Knowledge and experience of PCB assembly process a plus
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to adapt and respond to ever changing environment
  • Great team work
  • Good understanding and working knowledge of MS Office specially Excell
  • Able to work independently
  • Team work and customer obsessed
  • Discipline, sense of urgency and excellent attention to detail.
