Here is what we do to help. Integrate Control Systems, Build Out Network Architectures, Automate Processes, Calibrate and Commission Instrumentation for Water/Wastewater Facilities and Power Systems that run Plants, Pump Stations, Tunnels, Bridges and Municipal Facilities.

TESCO Control's Core Business is Designing and Building Process Control Systems and Power Solutions for Municipalities and Industrial Clients to keep Critical Infrastructure operating efficiently.


Job Summary:

Under moderate supervision, provide support to the Project Management Department by preforming a range of administrative, coordinating, scheduling, and assisting activities. Ready to positively impact complex Electrical Control and Instrumentation projects in the Water/Wastewater Industry. At Tesco Controls, Assistant Project Manager (APM) will be key to coordination between the field team, project team, and our customers. APM is expected to maintain exceptional working partnerships with vendors and subcontractors and assist in the review and tracking of project activities, including change orders, submittals, tracking logs, and related project documents. You'll facilitate learning for yourself and others, drive team meetings, and direct the work of Project Engineers and Project Managers in partnership with the field team.

Pay offered will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and geographic location. We may pay more or less than the range based on the person's qualifications. In good faith we believe the range is what we will pay for this role at the time of the posting and may change in the future. In addition, Tesco offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, vacation, holidays, and 100% 401K match of your contributions up to 4% of your earnings.

Requirements

Essential Functions:

* Provide assistance and support to Project Managers on their projects

* Work with Engineering and other internal departments to plan, organize and direct project activities

* Schedule and setup department meetings

* Maintain department calendar; enter and update employee attendance

* Perform initial project folder review, making sure we have contract documents, green folder, quotes, and other initial project information available

* Taking notes and producing meeting summaries for kickoff and other project meetings, as requested

* Identify and develop new business opportunities with customers, consultants and end users.

* Provide technical assistance in developing bid package specifications and evaluation of contractor.

* Follow up with customers to obtain feedback; correct problems, and address customer issues.

* Assist Supervising PMs with project activities including billing, shipping, and scheduling meetings

* Submittal status follow-up with customers (emails and phone calls).

* Internal change order

* Project Startup Checklist support: initiate and fill out known information and track completion of checklists

* Engineering Support liaison to Project Managers

* Assist with project field startup and closeout activities, under the direction of Project PM's when requested

* Under the direction of the project PM, contact customers to verify that equipment and work is ready for commission

* Under the direction of the project PM, coordinate with the Field Service scheduler to plan and schedule field techs and other departments for on-site startup and testing work

* Perform close-out related tasks, such as: O&M approval confirmation, Warranty submission and start date confirmation, close-out letter creation/submission, as requested by PMs

* Develop SOPs, as requested

* As knowledge and skills allow, perform basic project administration and coordination tasks on small Tesco jobs, and be responsible for overall job completion

* Perform all Other tasks and duties assigned, as required


Skills and Knowledge:

* Required to learn specialized terminology applicable to engineering and project Management

* Required to be knowledgeable of the Project Management Manual and other PM SOP's, procedures, and practices

* Ability to preform well in high volume /fast paced environment

* Must be diligent about completing assignments on time during periods of high work volume

* High level of organizational skills required

* Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects to meet deadlines

* Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, OneNote) , Microsoft Project, Adobe Acrobat, and PDF required

* Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures of Tesco


Education and Experience:

* Preferred degree or High School diploma

* At least 1 years of experience in a project or engineering administrative support position

* Superior communication skills; written and verbal
