The Job/What You'll Do:

AssetMark serves as investment advisor to two proprietary mutual fund trusts: GPS Funds I and GPS Funds II (the "Funds"). The Fund Compliance Specialist will work in the Fund Compliance team, which, among other things, is responsible for ensuring the Funds adhere to applicable federal securities laws.

We can consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to our Concord, CA office.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of the Funds compliance program, collaborating with other departments at AssetMark as well as vendors, outside counsel and sub-advisors to the Funds.
  • Assist in the ongoing implementation and execution of the Funds' risk assessment and testing program, including conducting compliance testing; evaluating, documenting and presenting results of test work; and identifying enhancements and remedial actions required to address testing observations.
  • Assist with preparation of various materials for mutual fund board meetings and with preparation of electronic board books.
  • Review compliance exception reports and maintain supporting documentation of resolution.
  • Assist with preparation of materials for the 15(c) annual renewal process of advisory, sub-advisory agreement and service provider agreements.
  • Assist with the development and execution of compliance projects and implementation of firm-wide strategic initiatives.
  • Take the initiative to proactively identify new and/or changing regulations and collaborate with team members to implement appropriate policies and procedures.

  • General knowledge of securities industry preferred

  • Competency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics preferred.

Compensation: The Base Salary range for this position is between $80,000-$95,000.

This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location. This position will also be eligible for additional variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US to be considered. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
