We are seeking an experienced Purchasing and Planning Manager to lead our Supply Chain and Production Planning organizations. You will drive the Supplier Management, Production scheduling, and Shipping/Receiving functions for the business. You will ensure customer forecast alignment with production capability, Manage Supply chain effectiveness, and coordinate NPI activities for the Operations team.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with suppliers and Omron legal teams to implement supplier agreements and non-disclosure agreements, maintaining strong supplier relationships and driving improvement in the areas of quality, cost, delivery, and Inventory levels.
  • Manage global supplier base as a tool for development teams to ensure the best quality, cost, delivery and compliance from the early stage of Product Development
  • Manage and lead transfer of manufacturing projects/products related to supply chain to global Omron locations
  • Provide timely support to Omron global factories on sourcing of parts for production, management of inventory, and changes in customer demand.
  • Establish and monitor ERP planning system parameters, including safety stock levels, Kanban, finished goods, spares and raw material inventories.
  • Lead Master Production Schedule meetings and ensure material availability for projected finished product demand and spares.
  • Work with Production, Purchasing and Sales Operations to achieve on time delivery targets through optimum inventory levels.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to support product end of life cycle material planning.
  • Ensure Inventory accuracy and Internal Control compliance by managing regular cycle count of WIP, Finished Goods and Raw Materials.
  • Prepare and manage factory lead-time for all products and align with sales operation, planning, production and supply chain.
  • Mentor, coach and develop team bench strength by focusing on most critical priorities, measuring progress and ensuring accountability against metrics.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of five (5) years of Managerial experience in Purchasing & Planning Management in a Manufacturing environment with ten (10) years of experience in Procurement, Planning, Inventory control and demand management.
  • Ability to work and interact with departments throughout the organization, with minimal supervision
  • Customer focused, able to collaborate and influence others to drive actions to meet business needs while maintaining a positive, professional outlook
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to thrive in a matrixed organization
  • Ability to deal effectively with pressure, multiple tasks, deadlines, and rapidly changing priorities
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office (Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Occasional travel may be required
  • Experience with JDE ERP is preferred
  • APICS/CPM Certification is preferred

The annual salary range for this role in California is $140,000 - $170,000 a year, however, base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. This position is also eligible for an annual performance-based bonus program. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
