Position Summary |
KINESIOLOGY, HEALTH AND ATHLETICS INSTRUCTIONAL ASSIGNMENT: The faculty member shall be responsible for the following: teaching assigned classes under the supervision of the area dean; helping students fulfill their maximum potential in mastering course content; assessing student learning outcomes; maintaining a thorough and up-to-date knowledge in their regular teaching field; continuing professional development; utilizing current technology in the performance of job duties; maintaining standards of professional conduct and ethics appropriate to the professional position; assisting with articulation and curriculum development and review; serving on college committees and participating in faculty governance including accreditation and student co-curricular activities; assuming other responsibilities as assigned by the area dean; fulfilling other duties and responsibilities of a full-time faculty member. HEAD WOMEN'S BASKETBALL COACHING ASSIGNMENT: In addition, the faculty member will serve as the Head Women's Basketball Coach. The faculty member shall be responsible for the following: teaching assigned classes and the coaching assignment under the supervision of the area dean; coaching intercollegiate basketball; recruiting and maintaining student athletes sufficient to field a competitive intercollegiate women's basketball team; complying with all 3C2A, Conference, District and College rules and regulations regarding intercollegiate athletics/women's basketball; maintain cooperative and respectful relationships with coaches and teams that share the practice and game venue; providing clear and accurate information in areas related to the coaching of intercollegiate women's basketball, including but not limited to, practice schedules, game schedules, behavior and eligibility expectations, contest results, web site information, media guide information, travel requests/records, budget requests/records and purchasing processes/records; fundraising; guiding student athletes, emphasizing academic achievement as an instructor and athletic achievement as a coach. The assignment between these two roles may be adjusted based on student, department, and program needs. Salary | $56,160 - $95,796 per year. Additional earnings may be available for summer, overload, and stipends. |
Additional Salary Information | Initial annual salary within a given range varies, depending upon units/degrees completed at accredited institutions and experience. Candidates not holding the minimum degree requirement may start at a salary lower than posted above. |
