Research, plan, and develop the events or sponsorship opportunity from the conceptual stage to working closely with staff, network doctors, Optometric Associations, Schools of Optometry, and other partnering organizations to ensure success
Develop and maintain metrics and reports to measure success of the events and sponsorships
Serve as expert and focal point for events and sponsorships
Manage expenses to ensure efficiency and cost containment, and to meet budget guidelines
Plan and manage staffing of employees, doctors, opticians, drivers, etc. to ensure success of the event or sponsorship
Serve as on-site manager at any of the events or sponsorships to handle complex issues and questions as needed. Be prepared to step-in to any role at the event
Develop and implement strategies for improving events or sponsorships effectiveness and participation based on statistical results from evaluations, surveys, and feedback from attendees. Prepare and submit reports based on findings and recommendations for improvement
Work with business partners to manage best practices to attain maximum benefit of the event or sponsorship
Recognize potential areas where existing company policies require change, or where new ones need to be developed, and propose recommendations
Job Specifications
Typically has the following skills or abilities:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field or equivalent experience
2+ years' experience in leading people, programs, or projects in a managed healthcare or related environment where ambiguity and adverse circumstances exist
Highly adaptable and able to effectively prioritize workload
Strong organizational skills and proven analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time.
Must be willing and able to work disaster relief duty. This would entail but not be limited to, long periods away from home, poor working conditions and long days
Proficient in spreadsheet and word processing applications
Able to work with all levels of employees and management
Ability to regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment the in performance of his/her job duties

Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
