We are seeking a Finance Manager- Pet Segment, to support our Pet Corporate and Pet Sales Finance teams. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on contributor that will support Pet Segment consolidation, reporting, and analytical needs as well as provide finance support to the Sales organization to include business decision support, spend management reporting and analysis, and profitability analysis. This position offers high exposure to senior leadership and the chance to do work that is appreciated and makes a difference. The position reports to the Director, Pet Segment FP&A with a dotted line to the Senior Vice President Sales
MEASURE OF SUCCESS
  • Develop and deliver accurate and timely Pet Segment reporting, analysis, and consolidation (close, forecast, budget, MD&A, board materials, etc.)
  • Lead and participate in special projects and initiatives for Pet Segment President and CFO to improve and enhance current financial processes and performance for the Pet Segment.
  • Financial resources for sales function to include vendor terms review, annual budget preparation, intra year forecasts, close processes, and communicating key drivers of variance to stakeholders.
  • Key resource supporting Pet SVP Sales to include ad hoc requests, SIP development, reporting and analytics, training teams, and strategy-based work.
  • Employ insightful use of financial analysis techniques, tools, and concepts, to provide practical counsel to leadership and business unit partners.
  • Leverage a continuous improvement mindset to improve operational efficiency and proactively identify potential data, analytical, and reporting needs to support management and performance monitoring requirements.
  • Calmly and effectively manage multiple deliverables/priorities simultaneously as well as occasional high-pressure situations.
  • Able to do a variety of modeling: scenario analyses, proformas, trade spend/marketing ROI.
IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES
Education Requirement and Years of Experience:
  • BA/BS in Finance/Accounting/Economics/Mathematics.
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate finance or a comparable position is required.
Technical Skills/ExperienceRequired:
  • Exceptional analytical expertise/skills; Skillful at unearthing data and translating complex assumptions/business requirements into financial models and what-if analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with various levels of management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships throughout the organization.
  • Proficiency using Excel, Power Point, and Word. SAP and Tableau experience a plus.
  • Excellent time management skills for coordination of multiple projects.

WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Approximately 0-10% travel
  • Hybrid Office environment (minimum 3 days per week in the office)
POSITION INFORMATION
This position pays $100,000 to $127,000 per year depending on experience
