The Job/What You'll Do:

We're looking for a creative, confident and enthusiastic individual to join AssetMark as our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Systems Analyst. Our ideal candidate has strong technical, communication, and interpersonal skills, and has experience configuring and supporting all aspects of Workday Adaptive Planning.

The FP&A Systems Analyst will be responsible for the maintenance and ongoing support of Adaptive Planning, partnering across the Finance team and with leaders across the business. Your keen attention to detail, and interest in being an Adaptive Planning subject matter expert, will help our business develop an outstanding FP&A technology and data analytics function. You will have the ability to influence decisions to drive future FP&A data, analytics, and reporting initiatives.

We can consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to our office locations in either Concord, CA, or Phoenix, AZ.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for day to-to-day, ongoing maintenance and process tasks within the system including dimensions, levels, accounts, versions, sheets, reports, integrations, etc.
  • Partner with FP&A leaders and other stakeholders to help drive the successful utilization of the Adaptive platform
  • Serve as a liaison between FP&A team, Workday, and our third-party Adaptive Planning support vendor to ensure efficient and timely project execution
  • Create dashboards and build reports in Adaptive Planning on-line and in OfficeConnect to support key FP&A planning and reporting processes
  • Review, test, and implement system upgrades and ensure open lines of communication with key stakeholders and Adaptive users regarding the changes
  • Drive continuous improvement of Adaptive - engage with the Adaptive community to understand system capabilities and make recommendations, evaluate impacts, and implement new system features and releases
  • Respond quickly to complex situations by researching and resolving Adaptive problems such as unexpected results or workflow flaws
  • Develop and implement efficient and effective business processes to capture financial data changes using Adaptive systems functionality
  • Act as an AssetMark SME for Adaptive requests and to deliver training to our users
  • Understand and interpret end user needs to translate into system requirements, including documentation
  • Support special/ad hoc projects - help evaluate and drive new initiatives
  • Represent FP&A team interests as an Adaptive SME in the organization, including major projects, system upgrades, or other business initiatives
  • Ensures that the Adaptive system complies with all SOX requirements
  • Assist as a backup to other Finance functions
  • Performs other duties as required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proven expertise in using or maintaining the Adaptive platform (model management, integrations, OfficeConnect, and reporting tools)
  • Knowledge of Finance processes and ability to translate processes into workflows
  • Capabilities in requirements gathering, design, documentation, and project management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to translate complex technical concepts to different audiences
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; able to deal with ambiguity
  • Highly motivated, results-oriented, able to effectively perform independently, with the ability to drive continuous improvement
  • Experience working with a diverse set of stakeholders, including all levels of management and employees

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline with 2+ years of relevant experience required
  • 2+ years of professional experience in Adaptive Planning, in an administrative or user role required
  • Experience in a SOX financial controls environment, and with an ERP system such as NetSuite preferred

Compensation: The Base Salary range for this position is between $80,000-$100,000.

This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location. This position will also be eligible for additional variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US to be considered. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
