Job Description
The Sr Software Engineer writes and maintains code within applications and systems to implement capabilities and features, improve performance and maintainability, while reducing technical debt in alignment with product and technology roadmaps. The Software Engineer plays a role in Agile planning, providing advice and guidance, and monitoring emerging trends.

Write and maintain code within applications and systems to implement capabilities and features, improve performance and maintainability, while reducing technical debt in alignment with product and technology roadmaps. Play a role in Agile planning, providing advice and guidance, and monitoring emerging trends. Work with Product Management to understand the challenges that customers and end users face in their day-to-day work and partner with them to design viable solutions. Foresee capacity requirements for component usage and identify limitations. Provide input into story sizing, backlog grooming, and release planning. Contribute to product and solution designs to address critical issues and complex problems. Build software applications across multiple platforms in response to the needs of stakeholders. Understand and create technical architecture and write software and automated tests that are aligned with agreed-upon standards. Perform advanced troubleshooting and investigations when there is a need to resolve issues with client impact.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Product Management and business stakeholders and work with other engineers to interpret business needs into technical requirements.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, manage, and configure applications and environments.
  • Develop and maintain C#/.NET applications in development, test, and production environments.
  • Create unit tests for developed code.
  • Use Terraform to manage infrastructure as code.
  • Provide input into story sizing, backlog grooming, and release planning.
  • Participate in peer discussions on architecture and overall direction for application development.
  • Perform monitoring, troubleshooting, and root cause investigations for production systems.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other relevant field, and 4 years' related experience. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 2 years' experience, P.h.d and up to 1 year of experience; or 16 years' experience in a related field.
  • Build and deploy pipeline creation and management. GitHub Actions, Jenkins
  • Programming and Scripting: Bash, Powershell, Typescript, Javascript, Python
  • 4+ years of experience in developing software using AWS technologies such as SQS, ECS, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, etc
  • Experience building and maintaining software running in a CI/CD pipeline using tools such as GitHub Actions
  • Experience with C#/.NET application development and build/deploy processes
  • Experience using Terraform to create and maintain cloud infrastructures. Infrastructure as Code, AWS cloud and on-prem
  • Experience instrumenting systems with observability via tools like NewRelic, Splunk, and PagerDuty
  • Experience using and developing applications with Microsoft SQL Server databases


USD 116,500.00 - 194,200.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $116,500.00 - $194,200.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
