Department Purpose
The Phoenix Cluster is a large administrative cluster providing administrative and technical support for teaching, research, and outreach to the faculty, staff, and students of the departments of Plant Pathology & Entomology and Nematology. The cluster supports 36 faculty, 97 academics, 247 staff, and approximately 845 combined undergraduate and graduate students annually.
Job Summary
Under general supervision of the Business Operations Manager (BOM), supervise and manage the business office operations for the Phoenix Cluster and associated departments. Directly supervise the Purchasing and Travel Team staff that have responsibility in the areas of Purchasing, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Equipment Inventory, Key Control, and General Administration.
This position is considered an essential position requiring the employee to be on site as part of normal day-to-day operations and during reduced or suspended operations.
