Responsibilities & Qualifications

Local Impact

  • Works to achieve operational targets within job area with direct impact on sector results

  • Works independently on larger, moderately complex projects/ assignments

  • Sets objectives for own job area to meet the objectives or goals of projects and assignments

  • Ensures timesheets, logs, and files are accurate and up to date

  • Requires ability to solve difficult problems, and often contributes new ideas and solutions

Knowledge

  • Level of participation required for the collection, documentation & drafting of materials related to intellectual capital & training requirements

  • Responsible for making adjustments or recommended enhancements in systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of job area

  • Identifies and participates in learning opportunities

  • Demonstrates proficient technical skills and able to deliver assigned tasks independently

  • Generally expected to have achieved required professional qualifications

Communication

  • Communicates with contacts typically within the Sector Area on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring some explanation or interpretation in order to reach agreement

  • May work to influence parties within own job function at an operational level

  • Start participating in the proposal writing process by providing technical review and advice

  • Participates in industry associations and activities


Expertise

  • 4+ years of experience in bridge design

  • Professional Engineer (PE) licence

  • Requires practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience

  • Responsible for more complex projects generally involving multiple aspects

  • Creates concept designs, design specifications; assesses constructability; creates documentation and drawing from conceptual ideas

  • Responsible for data and business requirements analysis and technical work to support assigned projects

  • Ensures technical accuracy of assigned work/projects

  • Developing specialized skills in a particular discipline

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience with relevant professional designation


Additional Information

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of$86,900 - $110,000 annually for this position and local market.
